Although I'm passed the "mid-life" point and my body is clearly holding onto it's grip of perimenopause - "All Fours" looks like a winner! Count me in.
In the meantime, I just grabbed "The Light Pirate" (Lily Brooks-Dalton) at the airport as my "quick read" from the Read & Return (50% off!) shelf ... and fell in love. Devoured it in one day. Highly recommend.
I can't wait to read "All Fours." My library only had it available as an ebook so I went on the waiting list, then it came in while I'm in the middle of "I Love You So Much It's Killing Us Both." I had to pass and wait till the next time around. Looks like a beautiful trip. Enjoy!
I am so glad you did not sit in that cafe! Can’t wait to hear more about your trip! I don’t have the book yet but I am interested and would join you if I can make it work…
I hope you go to the Acropolis museum in Athens historic area. The museum is built over the ancient city and a glass pathway was built to view the ruins. It is simply amazing to see. I loved touring this ancient city. But at the same time I was surprised that the heart of Athens looks like 1960s NYC void of any ancient architecture. (Although their subway system exceeds far and above anything in NYC - it’s clean, efficient, not expensive and doesn’t smell). Our tour guide then explained the Greek holocaust to us —which I never knew existed. Mitch Albom writes about it in his historical fiction “The Little Liar.” Enjoy your trip. Greece is a magical place.
Just wandering around Athens is drop-dropping! I went up to the Parthenon at sunset - stunning! And if you feel like a short 45-minute ferry ride from Naxos, Paros is a little cutie to visit. x
Athens looks magical, that light! 😍
Light and marble. Everybody looks like a model. It's a photographer's dream.
I’m 423rd in line for “All Fours” at the library so maybe I’ll read it next year. 😝
On Bookshop.org it says it's temporarily out of stock.
I am NOT surprised.
Update: I bought the ebook. I couldn’t wait
Your outfits are #goals! Athens suits you 😉💙
I ran to my local bookstore and picked up a copy of All Fours. It will be first on my list for reading in July.
