Things that caught my attention and I think you would like too

Between living in a small city, relatively far from major centers of cultural production AND being in the throngs of mid-life, I exist in a constant fear that I will lose touch with the world and that my brain will atrophy. That’s one of the main reasons why I write my Substack — I guess, my version of the NYTimes crossword puzzle… forcing my brain to try a little harder — but also why I try to be an active student of what I aspire to know. There is no real framework around this quest, I just try to make an effort every week and follow my nose.
