This week Memphis got pummeled by snow: school is out until we don’t know when, businesses are closed, etc. Work-from-home employees are expected to just proceed as if everything is fine and work as if we have no children to take care of. For me, all of this happens the week when I am managing a major research study for one of our company’s biggest clients. Of course. OF. COURSE. This is how it always goes. BUT, I am doing pretty well, actually.
So well, in fact, that earlier today I paused and thought …. I wonder if I have completed a depression cycle and come out on the other side?! Readers of this newsletter know that staying positive does not come naturally to me. In fact, I believe I am genetically predisposed to pessimism. But there are THREE THINGS that I have been choosing to do recently that have had an enormlously positive effect on my otherwise depressive nature.
