Issue 44: I was worried that I would feel deflated after reaching my HUGE goal...
... so here's what I did about it
When I reached the final stretch of book writing in early December (I completed my manuscript on December 19, 4.5 months ahead of schedule 🎊 🎉), I began to wonder how I would respond to actually reaching my goal. I didn’t do too much of fantasizing about it but as the pages continued to accumulate, I wanted to be proactive about avoiding the arrival fallacy - the belief that when you arrive at a certain destination, you’ll be happy. The arrival fallacy is a fallacy because arriving rarely makes you as happy as you expect.
I did a lot of research on this topic and today I want to share what has worked and resonated with me. My hope is that reading this will help YOU prepare for that big moment of achieving YOUR big goal and being in a good space of mind for it.
