If you, like me, have fallen down the internet rabbit hole of self-actualization gurus… you probably share this frustration: all of the tips and advice go something like this:

  1. Name your dream.

  2. Make a plan.

  3. Do the fucking thing.

Which, I understand, is not as simple as it appears but also - d’uh. The reason why this type of advice never quite worked for me is that Step 1 of the plan was a non-starter. My dream?! What dream?!
