Issue 10: OK, so you don't have a dream but is envy eating you alive?

What if your shameful envy is actually trying to teach you about what you truly want

If you, like me, have fallen down the internet rabbit hole of self-actualization gurus… you probably share this frustration: all of the tips and advice go something like this:

1. Name your dream.

2. Make a plan.

3. Do the fucking thing.

Which, I understand, is not as simple as it appears but also - d’uh. The reason why this type of advice never quite worked for me is that Step 1 of the plan was a non-starter. My dream?! What dream?!

I had an amazing elementary school teacher - a woman who was strong, confident, powerful, creative, charismatic - I absolutely adored the ground she walked on.
